The Regional Training Site – Medical at Ft. McCoy serves our clients by supporting full spectrum individual, team, and unit-level medical skills sustainment training in a Combat Training Center-like environment. TSG's success as part of this effort is demonstrated by our trainers' capabilities to adapt and integrate emerging technologies to meet specific theater medical training requirements.
ROLE-III training sets are utilized to provide USAR Field Hospital the ability to meet Objective-T requirements and significantly increase the Army Medical Department’s ability to meet future operational demands for trained and ready medical forces. The Role-III hospital offers an improved structure to the Combat Support Hospital (CSH) regarding the organizational design, medical and surgical capabilities, and the ability to perform split or geographically dispersed operations.
RTS-Med provides an all-inclusive training platform that is equipped to teach our customers how to set up a CSH, plan its logistics, and operate within each area. The CSH capabilities include triage and emergency care, outpatient services, inpatient care, pharmacy, clinical laboratory, blood banking, radiology, physical therapy, medical logistics, operational dental care (emergency and essential dental care), oral and maxillofacial surgery, nutrition care, and patient administration services.
Most of the throughput at Ft. McCoy consists of exercises that can contain anywhere from 5,000 to 6,000 members from all client components including guests from various countries. RTS-Med's annual throughput is upwards of 8,000 to 10,000 total service members from all branches. Although 2020 was a slow year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we still managed to support 6,338 service members during that time.
